Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf (/drark/ /nrɑˈzwo/ [stupid; dumb; silly; absurd] [firearm]) is a subtropical Large City located in the Fïtaglokīē Principality of the Olatkana.

The name Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf is derived from the Sylvin language, as Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf was founded by Tsîlêd, who was culturaly Gnoll.

Climate

Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf has a yearly average temperature of 4°C (39°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cold 2°C (35°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 7°C (44°F). Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf was founded durring the early 10th century, by Tsîlêd. The establishment of Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Tsîlêd electing to pay people to resettle in Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf.

Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the early 10th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf is buildings are built arround a single crampt worn bedrock mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the city a over all circular shape. The city sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. The would-be-castle fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

A look around Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring just long enough for it to be uncomfortable. A second look around Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf makes it abundantly clear the city suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had.

Cultural Notes

Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

In Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf rain occurs in reverse with water pooling up from the earth then falling into the skies to from clouds, this unsettles every visitor that sees it.

The Rabbit near Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

History

Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf is still bloodied by a recent violent conflict. A crushing bandit raid, a lost siege, getting caught at the periphery of a major battle, or some other calamity has inflicted severe damage on the place. Some communities may suffer a longer-term version of this, their youths lost in a grinding, endless battle against some perpetual threat.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf lost 179 people, 167 livestock, and 73 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 179, when members of Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf's militia enacted an operation to rescue a particular elites group from the enemy. The operation was complicated by the army being put into a position where they could only choose between two terrible options. The conflict ended with an assault and siege on the strategic location, which ended in a crushing defeat for Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Gïta-nräzwo Xluwuf's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
